Care tips: 1-800-620-4310 or (480) 969-8222
- Check the water level in the
container. If needed Add warm water (no more than 100o F) to fill the
container. If there is green foam used make sure it is always wet. Add water
daily.
- Always use floral preservative
or one to two crumbled aspirin in your water.
- Fresh flowers Must be placed
in a cool area out of direct sunlight. Avoid hot or cold areas such as air
conditioning or heating units and Televisions.
- Remove dying flowers from
arrangements to let other flowers breath proper air.
- As some of the flowers Die in
an arrangement you may want to rearrange the remaining flowers by re cutting
the stem ends under water using sharp shears or a knife at a 45 degree
angle. Use a clean container with warm water and floral preservative.
- Never reuse floral foam. Once
it has begun to dry out it will never properly re-saturate with water. Also
used foam contains bacteria from the previous decaying flowers which will
shorten the fresh flowers life dramatically.
- Always use clean containers.
We recommend washing glass containers that are dishwasher safe in the
dishwasher. Other containers should be hand washed with detergent and a
small amount of chlorine bleach in the water. If your container is too
delicate, at least wash it in very warm soapy water to take care of bacteria
residue. Do this every time between use.
- ROSES take additional care. If
you receive roses out of water, either wrapped in paper or in a box, re cut
the stems under water. Fill an open container with water, place the stem end
under water, and re cut with a sharp knife or shears at a 45 degree angle.
Place the roses in a tall container of warm water approximately 8" with
preservative for one hour. This hydration process will allow for better
water flow or drinking process rose's stem. After hydration time you can
feel the rose head get more firm and they are ready to be arranged fresh
vase of warm water. Add floral preservative. To take care of bent necks on
roses, fill a long sink or tub with clean warm water. Some roses last longer
than others due to their individual structure. Enjoy your flowers.
- Follow these tips and you
will have a longer lasting life of your fresh flowers.
